2026 Convention Details
With the details of the 2026 Libertarian National Convention finally being published, the Classical Liberal Caucus is prepared to kick into full gear for the state convention season. Last convention marked the beginning of a new era of classical liberalism in the Libertarian Party, now it’s important that we move across the final stretch and reaffirm our presence in the party.
Come be a part of the largest project that the Classical Liberal Caucus has ever undertaken. We need all hands on deck.
State Conventions
Classical Liberalism exists in the heart of libertarians everywhere, but many of them have yet to realize their connection to our ideology. It’s important that we cement ourselves in the presence of state conventions across the country.
We have convention coordinators available for nine state conventions for 2026, but we need many more if we want to encourage more classical liberals to show out to the national convention in Grand Rapids, MI.
Even if your state has someone, you can still volunteer to help pass out literature and talk with delegates.
Call to Action
If you’re interested in tabling a state convention for us, please email info@lpclc.org or use the button below. Volunteers interested in this project should be prepared to outreach with prospective delegates to the national convention, members of their own state affiliate, and libertarians across the country.

Step 1: Join the Libertarian Party
In order to be a delegate at the Libertarian National Convention, you must be a dues-paying member of the national Libertarian Party. Dues are as low as $25/yr and make you part of the largest libertarian movement in the United States.
Step 2: Attend your State Convention
Delegates to the Libertarian National Convention are selected at each of the state conventions. Each state is allotted a certain number of delegates according to the number of national dues-paying members are in that state, as well as based on the number of presidential votes cast for the Libertarian candidate in that state. At the state conventions, your state membership will fill these roles according to their process.
Step 3: Make Preparations
If you’ve been selected to be a delegate to the Libertarian National Convention (congratulations!) then you need to make preparations to attend the convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan in late May 2026. Here are some common preparations that delegates need to make.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Attending the convention as a delegate is completely free if you attend only the business session where we elect officers and handle party business. There may be other events and speakers throughout the convention though so we recommend buying a convention package ticket which will allow you to attend these events. Don’t let anyone tell you that you have to pay to be a delegate at convention.
Step 4: Watch Your Emails
We are in the process of setting up a delegate emailing list for CLC members that are attending the Libertarian National Convention so that we can easily disseminate information related to the event. This mailing list is not yet available at the moment but we will do a mass-email once we open the form. Until then, consider becoming a member of the Classical Liberal Caucus!
Step 5: Relax
This is a very stressful task and we understand that. Take a breath and relax until May 2026 rolls around.
Step 6: Attend and Socialize
Congrats! You’ve made it to the biggest Libertarian event in 2026 and are now surrounded by thousands of liberty-minded individuals each interested in fighting the state, pushing for equal rights, and making the world a better place. The air is electric with liberty, so go around and socialize with everyone to hopefully make some new friends. We’ll keep you posted on any events with the Classical Liberal Caucus that you might be interested in.
What Are Our Goals?
These past few years have been rough for the Libertarian Party, and for the American liberty movement itself.
In just one election cycle, the Libertarian Party backed a serial liar into office by torpedoing the campaign of our own candidate elected by the delegates of the party. We now have a warmonger in the oval office that, in typical politician fashion, has broken his campaign promise to be anti-war. Critics and opponents of the administration find themselves being attacked by executive orders signed by a person who thinks he is omnipotent in his power. Worse, he is implicated in one of the largest sex-trafficking rings in American history that involved children on a remote island with politicians and wealthy offenders. Yet, our party backed his campaign.
The previous Libertarian Party Chair was found to have inappropriately contracted the services of a close household member with our donor dollars. This financial betrayal continues to sting as the Libertarian Party hemorrhages funds and drops in member counts. Classical liberals have unfortunately abandoned the party that once welcomed them with open arms from the disastrous duopoly.
It’s time we empower a strong Libertarian Party that will establish itself as the chief foe to the Trump regime and its war on firearms, civil liberties, and freedom of expression.
Democrats won’t save us from Republicans, and Republicans won’t save us from Democrats.
In fact, both of them are salivating from the mouths to use the precedents being set in this administration. They’re both in on it.
It’s time for a Libertarian Party that is going to put itself on a soap box to talk about the ideological foundation that once created the greatest country in the world: the foundation of classical liberalism.
The Classical Liberal Caucus is on a mission.
A mission to revive the soul of America.
